Inflation process is a process that starts with melt resin film being ejected through a circular die of extruder, then forming a tube-type bubble. Once a certain level of air is blown into the bubble which determines the film width, it is folded by the initial nip roll and go through a guide roll as a tube. As it enters nip roll the second time, both sides of the film get trimmed into 2 rolls. Blown extrusion film has an advantage of balancing the physical properties of MD TD both directions by adjusting molecular orientation control for shrinkage and expansion.
